I have some old floppies that are full of files which were
compressed using the old Doublespace program. I can't get
them opened under Win XP, there is only 1 file shown on
the disk which tells me to go to a command line and
type "dblspace/mount", which of course doesn't work under
XP.

Any ideas how to get around this? I do not have access to
a computer which has the old dblspace command available.

Thanks-
Chris Carr

Chris,

Windows XP does not recognize the compression format used by Double Space.
You need to expand the files with a version of Windows that supports Double
Space and then, if you want to use compression formatting, choose WinZip or
a similar program and copy them to floppy or CD.
