When I click on a link to a PDF file from IE, Acrobat does not launch and the
file does not open. I am running XP Pro 2002 Service Pack 2 and IE 6.0.
What am I missing?

You need various plugins/apps to view numerous items on the web, If it was a
half decent site, and you dont have the plugin, you should get a msg stating
this, and linking to the download.
Its not an MS/IE problem. ie if you cannot open / view a file not created by
win* whats it got to do with MS

I had the same problem. The work around was to save the pdf file, then it
would work. The solution is to cofigure acrobat reader 6.0: Shut down IE,
Start Adobe Reader, Choose Edit Preferences, Select Internet in the list on
the left, Deselect Display PDF in Browser, and click OK. Restart IE. Does
this help.
