i have sent in my HP laptop already once before, and i
would like to not have to send it in again.

i restarted my computer one day, and noticed that it was
taking a long time to load up. when i started to pay
attention, i noticed that when the computer would get to
the Windows XP startup screen, it would idle there for a
bit, like it was loading up, but then flash a blue screen
with an error message very quickly and then begin to
restart again. i was told that there was something wrong
with hp and xp compatibility and that all i needed to do
was to get some files from the recover CD. Is this true?
What exactly do i need to do to fix my computer, as i dont
want to pay for the money to get it fixed or to waste time
shipping it back to HP. thanks all!

Laptop computers, regardless of the brand, require specialized hardware
drivers that are Windows XP compatible. You should visit the support
website of HP (www.hp.com), download and install all the latest drivers =
that
are designed to work with Windows XP and your specific model HP laptop.
