Missing windows modules

I have a recovery disc for my xp home edition if i put this in my pc and
start disc will this repair my missing items? Will it remove any of my pics
and programmes or files etc??? Any help please as this is driving us mad!

Andy e, Recovery disks will normally recover your PC back to factory setting,
so it advisable to backup all your documents before recovering your PC with a
recovery disk.

It is always advisable to backup all documents before undertaking a task
like this, if you back up then you can always restore your documents after
the recovery !

Andy e, Before undertaking a task such as recovery using a recovery disc you
should always backup your documents so that you can restore them after the
recovery has finished.

Recovery discs restore your system back to factory setting so always make a
backup before undertaking a recovery task !
