I cannot open some attachments - can I get some help???

These are being sent from vendors and in the past with
other Microsoft programs - we had no problems - this is
XP Professional. Help!

Can you give some file extensions for files you cannot open? If Powerpoint,
there is a free powerpoint viewer at MS support site..

Mary,

What kind of attachments are they? It matters.

If they are proprietary attachments (like Word, Excel, and/or
PowerPoint), you are going to have to have copies of Word, Excel, and/or
Powerpoint which are in Microsoft Office. Microsoft Office is a
separate product. If your need is to only view these attachments, then
you can get viewers from Microsoft's web site (although I don' tknow how
current or good they are).
