they have a bit about spyware and clean out your machine
for faster performance. well spyware is 'wild-tangent'
games.and they want you to update it to work .and back web

that I regard them as a permanent risk for installing anything

> It must be the water in the U.K. , because this message has been posted from a HP/Compaq/Presario that has been udated to SP 2 for five days with no glich's from any programs/hardware.
