After installing SP2 I keep getting an error when I start
the computer.
1. It doesn't recognize Norton Anti-virus 2004
2. I get an icon in the tray area, a red shield with an x
it suggesting that I get another anti virus program.
When I check windows firewall in setting, the systems
tells me that the firewall is turned on, the green shield
with a check mark.

The only thing I can think of is that I use Netscape 7.1,
rather than IE.

ANy help would be appreciated.

Thanks

The security center gives me the creeps, Ive tried 3
different anti-virus programs and it havent recognised
any of them, I suggest you do like me and turn the
security center off in administrations tools/services

regards

Mattias

Hi

There should be an update available for Norton Anti-virus 2004.

After installing XP Service Pack 2, the message "Your computer might
be at risk . . . " appears
http://service1.symantec.com/SUPPORT/sharedtech.nsf/docid/2004070814522613?OpenDocument&tpre=&csm=no&src=con_web_nam

and

http://www.symantec.com/techsupp/sp2/faq.html

http://www.symantec.com/techsupp/sp2/support_doc.html

Alternatively, to avoid the message:

Control Panel/Security Center, click on the "Change the Way Security
Center Notifies Me" link in the left pane.
