changing the icon associated with a file

Hi, I like to open .rtf files with wordpad instead of
word. I changed the program associated with .rtf files to
wordpad but the icon associated with .rtf files is still
words'. How do I change an icon associated fith a file?
Any file?

Hi,
1. From Windows Explorer, select menu Tools | Folder Options.
2. Click File Types tab, select RTF from the Registered file types & click
Advanced button
3. Click Change Icon
4. Browse to select Wordpad.exe (in C:\Program Files\Windows
NT\Accessories\wordpad.exe)
5. Select the icon you wish to set and click OK, OK and Close
