Installed the trial version of V.D. version 8, I got the following msg when
double click on Windows explorer drive icon :

Disk is not formatted
Windows cannot read from this disk. The disk might be corrupted,
or it could be using a format that is not compatible with windows.

I can only brows the contents of the disk in Virtualdrive Mgr.

Only me having the problems or VD is not compatible with SP2? Thanks.

I know that you need to disable and/or uninstall virtual cd software
like Alcohol and Daemon Tools before installing SP2. I forgot that I
had Virtual CD 5 on my son's computer when I installed SP2. I didn't
have any problem installing SP2, but days later when he tried to use
VCD the whole computer locked up. Luckily, I was able to uninstall VCD
and everything seems OK now. Since my son doesn't use the program any
more, I haven't checked into it further. Look on Farstone's support
site for any updates/patches to their program to see if they have
something that will work with SP2.

Oops, I installed SP2 without removing any softwares including VD 7 NIS etc,
I'm happy to see that I didn't run into problems like some of the posts
here. After knowing VD7 giving the stated problems, uninstalled it and tried
VD 8, too bad, couldn't find anything relevent info on Farstone site.
btw, thanks.

Fixed! Just a note for those who might run into similar problem:
Open "My Computer", right click virtual drive (icon) -> property ->hardware,
check the box "Enable digital CD audio for this divice"
