I work in a school where the computers are all networked
and I was wondering if we can put a password on the
shared folders so that we can access them from the
student's computer but the student can't get into it
without the password. Haven't been able to figure out
how to password protect the whole folder as opposed to
each individual document.

Hi
It is not included with Windows.
There are few third party programs that make it very easy do to so.
Example: http://www.snapfiles.com/get/lockfolderxp.html
Jack (MVP-Networking).
