View Full Version : Upgrading from 98 to XP

I am trying to upgrade from 98 second edition to XP Home.
Everytime I run XP to upgrade, the computer either stops
working (freezes) or when it restarts it either tries to
boot from the CD ROM or I get a blue screen that states
setting up windows, and nothing happens. Anyone have any
ideas?
Thanks
Ray

Memory size, disk size, too little information to give a resonable answer.

Start with the following, with the computer at the 98SE desktop, place the
XP CD in the drive, when the menu appears, select "Check System
Compatibility." This should generate a report about your system hardware
and software as to whether or not there are any issues that need to be
corrected before installing XP.
