error="MSHOME is not accessible. You might not have permission..." when
click on show computers in workgroup on Computer 1 get this message after
15-20 seconds.
Computer 1- XP home with NIC card connects to cable modem
Computer 2- XP pro with wireless adapter
Router- LinkSys Wireless Wireless-B
Norton anti-virus
After SP2- used wireless network wizard and home network wizard to ensure
security with new Windows firewall (old firewall had to be off pre-SP2 for
networking to work). I have redone the wizards too many times to count...
-Does not respond to ping from computer 2 on network.
-Computer 2 sees computer 1 in it's workgroup
-Done everything in Network Troubleshooter at least 2X.
-Took back to restore point pre-SP2, problem didn't go away
Help, please!! I have seen this on postings, and no one has solutions-
