Freezing up intermittantly

On boot up I get "AMLI: ACPI BIOS is attempting to read
from an illegal IO port address (0x71), which lies in
the )x70 - 0x71 protected address range. This could lead
to system instability. Please contact your system vendor
for technical assistance." the other address it refers
to is (0xcfc)

I have formated the drive a few times and reinstalled
but this error appears every time on starting the
computer 8 times every boot. even when there are no
drivers or progs installed.

Freezing can happen at any time usually as I select any
function (intermittantly) or if I leave it running it is
always frozen when I return

Me works ok.
