When I try to load XPSP2 from a CD the installation
starts and I then get booted out of the installation. I
receive two error message windows "AN INTERNAL ERROR
OCCURED" - " Service Pack 2 Setup Error".
This error occures at the point - "Checking Product Key"
Any suggestions??

Gesh!

Buy a legal version of Windows XP, or learn how to pirate software
correctly!

XP software came loaded on the Dell (March 04) and I do
have a "LEAGAL" cd that cam with the system.

Any suggestions for people with legal software?

If the problem was on a Dell thast came preloaded with Windows XP,
contact Dell tech support; they should help you

Disregard anything from Crusty. Worthless most times, amusing some of

It would probably be best to try to obtain an answer from a Dell forum
or from Dell tech support. I'm assuming you've tried to download SP2
and install other than using the CD?
