XP SP2 Works Great!!!!

No problems at all. Installation didn't take too long
either. Why all the SP2 problems? People should really
make sure their PC is working first before installing
SP2. Maybe they have SP2 problems because they didn't
have some of their drivers or programs installed right to
begin with.

I forgot SP2 even installed my video card driver, Intel
Chipset Utility and the USB 2.0 drivers. I did a clean
install of SP1 before I installed SP2. Then all I had to
do was install my audio card, ethernet card, v,92 modem
and printer driver. Then install all my other software
and they all worked under SP2. No problem.

All OK here as well.
There has been some good advice available in this group re running AdAware
or similar, Disabling User Startup programs (I use the StartUpCPL utility)
switching off any AV and 3rd party firewalls PRIOR to running SP2.

I haven't had any problems here either. As a matter of fact, i kept getting a
system error about DCOM, but since sp2, the error has disappeared. I was
leery about installing it, but I am glad that I did.
