View Full Version : After deleting files on 2nd HD, still shows same free space (41meg on a 30gig drive)
Photoman

But when I right click the drive in Explorer, it shows 4 gig free. XP keeps
coming up with the Low Disk Space Warning and the system crashes
occasionally. Drives (C: & D:) are both FAT32.
Any help would be appreciated. Here or email:
Thanks,
Vito

Anti-virus (NAV) installed for years, always updated.

Then I'd recommend a Defrag. How long since your reformatted and
re-installed?

This happened to me once. If you have Norton Utilities, you have to empty
"Norton Protected Files" bin because deleted files still take up room until
you do this.
Hope this helped,
Lyn.

Holy cr*p! There were over 2000 files in the Norton Protected Files. Thanks.
That gives me a truer free space measurement. Thanks again.
