I was hesitating on installing SP2 after reading all the horror stories about
this update. But after doing all the pre-installation task, like defrag, disk
cleanup, Adaware, Spybot etc etc .... I installed SP2 and have had NO bad
issues at all. So now I'm wondering if the problems are SP2 or the people who
are installing SP2 ...
No offense intended to anyone .........

A little of both.
Computers with spyware or viruses, often unknown to user, cause a
multitude of issues relating to SP-2.

The Prescott CPU has its own issues.
Microsoft has lists of programs that MAY have problems (many report no
problems with that software)

Bad download and installations can cause other unpredictable issues.
The list goes on...
