SP2 restart problems using Advent 3419A AMD Athlon PC

XP SP2 seemed to install fine on my Advent 64-bit PC but
on restart failed to open XP.
It only opened in Safe Mode (Last Known Config and Start
Windows Normally didn't work) and I was able to remove XP
SP2 via Control Panel but PC World aren't able to help.
Any ideas?

sp2 ,not for 64 bit systems..

although it's a 64-bit PC, i've been told by PC World
that normal 32-bit XP is installed
