View Full Version : after SP2 file associations don't work

After upgrading to XP SP2 I lost my file association for
macromedia swf files. When I try to select the flash
player using the "open with," I browse to the player, and
select it, but it doesn't show up in the program list.
Has anybody seen this issue? Is there a fix or a
workaround?

Thanks in advance!

I have SP-1, and when I went into file associations to see what it
should be associated to, I found that SWF files are not associated to
anything on my computer, either.

Jethro,

Uninstall and then reinstall the FlashPlayer per the instructions
here : http://www.shockwave.com/sw/help/player_faq.html#one_one
