Does anyone know how to preconfigure deployment package for WM5 to contain
server name and configuration so that when I use GPO to distribute the
client software, they just need to put in their username and password?
I have tried using Winstall LE 2003 (from ondemand software)
-Installed XP with no other APP
-Installed Winstall LE 2003
-took "Before snapshot"
-installed WM5
-configured client to connect to my server
-took "After snapshot"
It created the .MSI package for me with some directories as well.
I assigned the GPO to an OU. Placed an XP test machine in there. Did full
AD replication. Went on the XP test machine and ran GPUPDATE. Rebooted the
PC. WM5 was installed but none of the settings where there.
What am I doing wrong? Or is there something else I can do besides the
Winstall Le program to preconfigure the clients?
Thanks a bunch!
