Hi, Is it true that SP2 could be a major problem for P2P application, like
Kazaa ? Thanks ! Pierre

Probably not, but you may have to open port for it in the firewall exceptions.

SP2 limits the number of concurrent network connections to 10, and this
can be a limitation for a number of applications, notably P2P. There is
a fix, but you'll have to Google for it.

look for kazaa lite or something to that effect as regular
kazaa puts lots of good and tasty spyware in your soon to
crash system.

Surf around and find Kazaa Lite 2.4.3 (by Rocko). Works fine.

That's a limitation of all Microsoft workstation operating
systems, not SP 2. Both WinNT and Win2K were also limited to 10
concurrent connections. No need to Google for the fix, either: If
one needs more than 10 connections, one buys a server OS.
