WordPerfect 11

[Jcal]

I am trying to install WordPerfect 11 on my computer. As
it gets ready to install, a small window pops up telling
me that "BDE is running" and it aborts the install. I
can not find any help on Microsoft's website or at
Corel. ANy help would be appreciated.

Post to a WP newsgroup. Just because you're attempting to install it under
XP, doesn't mean this is automatically the correct place to post. You should
seek assistance from the software, not the operating system, developer.

Try the newsgroups at cnews.corel.ca.

BDE is a Borland database engine (probably) and Corel WP11
probably needs that turned off before you install.

Press [ctrl-alt-del] to open task manager and turn all
applications and un-needed services off, then try to install
again.
