You have pressed PrtScn Button (for full screen) or Alt-PrtScn Buttons
(for active window), then tried to paste the image into an application
which can *receive* the image, e.g. Wordpad, Word, Paint, etc.?

Jeff,
What kind of keyboard do you have? If you have one where "PrtScn" is shown
on the front side of the key, not the top, you may have to press the "Shift"
key to use the Print Screen function [you may have one where you access the
front of the key functions by pressing the "F Lock" key (Microsoft Office
Keyboard for one). Check it out.

About all I can think of is some nefarious program which prevents the
clipboard from working... recheck the clipbrd.exe application and read
its Help for clues.

I find it works best to have the app that I'm going to paste the image
to alredy open. If I PrtScn then open the app. The clipboard clears out
most of the time.
