Roll back XP and IE SP2

I installed the latest versions before learning that the CRM software I'm
using hasn't yet released support for the SP's. How dangerous will it be to
roll back to the previous

In many cases it seems to go back just fine. Just make sure you have a
backup of all data you can't afford to loose, just in case. See this
