I'm trying to get IIS (Personal Web Manager/Server)
installed on my XP Home Edition Machine. It's not
included in the Add Programs/Windows Components control
panel. Anyone know where on microsofts site I can
download it.

IIS and Personal Web Server are two different things, albiet related.

Personal Web server was included with previous versions of FrontPage,
but no longer in current versions. I am sure, but I think it was part
of some older versions of Windows. But no longer.

Microsoft provides IIS with XP Pro, but not with XP Home. My
understanding that it is not possible to make IIS workon XP Home
(although I have a recollection that some have published workarounds but
I don't know where that information available).

Yu can install Apache Web server on XP Home. Apache is freely availble
www.apache.org and is in common and widespread use on the Internet and
in private networks.

IIS is not part of XP Home, nor is it downloadable for installation on XP
Home.

IIS is not supported on XP Home. Install a different web server such as
Apache.
