I did the clean install with XP Pro and still got the 2K
Pro in my boot up menu. I did a search for my boot.ini
and can't find it. What folder should it be under? Is
there another way that I should be trying this instead of
editing it in notepad?
TIA

It's in the root folder of your boot drive. Since it's a hidden file, you
must unhide it in order to see it.

I don't speak for Smiths, and Smiths doesn't speak for me.

Nope, Notepad is the preferred way to edit it. Go to Control Panel, System,
Advanced, Startup and Recovery and in the System Startup section click Edit.
