I have Windows XP Pro and recently It started going
wacky. When I start my comp up it works fine for awhile
then when I click on an icon or anything to select it
highlights a bunch of things at once. Also when I try to
type a number it's like the shift is locked only it
isn't. When I try to restart it won't so I have to use
shut down then after I turn it back on it works fine for
awhile then it starts being wacky again. It started doing
this just after I scanned a document into OCR and opened
it in WORD as a RTF file. I'm stumped. I've tried Norton
antivirus- nothing. Scan disk, defragmenting, I
uninstalled OFFICE XP and nothing helped. Any ideas?
Thanks,
David

This sounds like a sticky Shift key on the keyboard.

Thanks Doug. I tried a different keyboard and it still
does it.
