I am getting the following error every day in the Event
Log window:

The parallel port driver failed to start due to the
following error:
The service cannot be started,, either because it is
disabled or because it has no enabled devices associated
with it. Event ID: 1003

Is there anyone seen this error and know how to resolve
it.

Here is my system info: Dell Inspiron, 2.4 Ghz, XP Pro,
External USB Floppy and USB Card Reader (using a D-Link
USB 2.0 Hub). No printer and parallel port.

Hi Kyle,

Is the parallel port working? Is there anything hooked to it? Is it disabled
in the system BIOS?

The error message may simply be an indication that the port is not being
used.
