I have a fairly new (self-built) machine with a 160GB HD. After I instld
SP2, it left all files and programs on drive C but reduced it to 9.9GB and
created a partition called E with 138GB and an empty folder named WUTemp.
Why did SP do that??

Thanks,

R. L. Knox

At a guess your old setup was not formatted in NTFS for partitions over 80
GB?

I would say that it was like that all along since SP-2 can not change
partitions like that.

WUTemp is a temp folder that appears when you download and install any
Windows Update files..........
