XP SP2 blocking problem

Since downloading SP2 things are not the same. Server,
earthlink, stays connected but will load pages only for
about 10 minutes then ALL links become "page not found."
I have disabled all earthlink and sp2 firewall and popup
blockers. Earthlink says ask MS and MS says ask you.

Try authorizing all internet apps for full access in Win FW.
Then in IE control panel, popups and authorized sites
(trusted sites too) enter the URLs of the sites you deal
with most often. (note: just the first part - www.xyz.org
for example or domains the main part such as xyz.org) Close
and restart then try to use the pages, adding other link ids
as appropriate.

Thanks, Lester. I added about a half dozen sites,
including earthlink and homepage to the "allow" list.
I disabled after the "disable after so many minutes"
button.
I shutdown the firewall and all popup blockers. If I
can't get it configured proper, do you think uninstalling
SP2 would give it a clean uninstall and put me back in
front of a usable box?

Thanks, Lester. I did add earthlink, my homepage and a
few others to the allow list. After that didn't seem to
work, I disabled the firewall and both popup blockers and
even disabled the "disconnect after so many minutes"
feature. If I can't get the config right, do you think
uninstalling SP2 would be clean and get me back in front
of an operable box?
