Hello,
I recently removed XP SP2 from a machine I was trying to
troubleshoot and have determined that SP2 was not the
culprit. Now I want to download it again through the
windows update site but the only thing it downloaded was
all the SP1 hot fixes. It now says that I do not need any
critical updates yet SP2 is not loaded. Any ideas?

Order the CD from Microsoft. It's free.

I did that, and I have it. The only problem with it is
installing from the CD completely killed the first system
I tried it on. I've done 6 installs and the 4 downloaded
individual installs worked fine but the one downloaded
full install failed (couldn't read the files it unzipped)
and the CD install did the same thing.
