View Full Version : DWWIN shut down error??

When I shut down windows Xp home, An error box pops up
saying something to the effect that DWWIN failed to
initialise due to the work station shutting down. Files of
a similar name are in C:\I386. It seems to be some kind of
debugging thing. This does not stop the computer from
shutting down and the box is sometimes visible only for a
very short time before the PC turns off. This does not
happen while standing by or hibernating.
My PC is a Acer Aspire 1703SC notebook with XP home. 512mb
of ram and 2.7 GHZ P4 CPU.

Any ideas on how to solve this? It did not seem to have
started due to installation of software or hardware.

DWWIN.EXE is the Dr. Watson tool. Thius may be caused by some software
crash during the shutdown that makes DWWIN start and lead you into the
given error message.
