Go to Control Panel, open User Accounts, select, "Change the way users log
on or off," and deselect "Use Welcome Screen."

Sorry, I misstated, be sure "Use Welcome Screen" is selected. You also need
to make sure that you have set now passwords for user accounts. Note: if
you have more than one user account set up on your system, it will stop at
the Welcome Screen as you must select which user you wish to log on.

You can change or remove passwords by going to User Accounts in Control
Panel, select, "Change an Account," and type in the current password but
leave the password blank in the box which asks for the new password and
press enter.

Mike,
A quick question on this if I can. This is the way I have my system
set up, using the WELCOME option, which does not require a password.
However, when I first installed the system, I did assign a password
(pretty sure) to the Administrator account that was built on Original
Administrator Account that first comes up.
If I "uncheck" the Welcome option, it should go back to that account,
is that correct? The only reason I hesitate is that while quite sure
the password I wrote down is that correct one, I don't want to leave
myself without an option to get back to the Welcome account, which does
not have a password assigned....
