All worked well before WinXP sp2...

I have HomePNA PCI card that connects to internet. Same WinXP sp2
machine has internal ethernet connection to external bridge, which is
connected to another machines. I have a Windows Network Bridge between
HomePNA and ethernet. Before sp2, TCP/IP got its ip address from DHCP
fine, from HomePNA connection. Now TCP/IP always gets some
alternative private ip address.

The only way to get it to work, is to disconnect the ethernet cable on
boot, so that only HomePNA is connected.

The funny thing is, that when internet does not work on sp2 machine,
it still works on other machines via the external bridge, that goes to
internet via Windows Network Bridge. So the only problem is, that the
Windows Network Bridge does not get a correct TCP/IP settings from
HomePNA DHCP, instead it invents some private ip address.

Try deleting and re-creating the network bridge. Try un-installing
and re-installing the HomePNA card.
