I have a notebook Dell Latitude C600 with DockStation running as a
workstation on a corporate LAN.
In this LAN I have a computer Domain Controller running with Windows
Terminal Server 2000. This domain server is also a DHCP, Printer Server and
DNS server. It have Active Directory too.
Before install SP2 on notebook, Windows takes 30 seconds to login.
After SP2 instalation, windows takes 5 or 7 minutes to login.
I think it is a BUG or incompatibility between Windows XP Pro SP2 and
Windows Terminal Server 2000.
Curiously, when I unpluged the network cable the login was very fast. After
login, I pluged the network cable and Windows recognize the connection in a
few seconds. That's the fast way to start my computer after SP2. :-(

Is the firewall off, or at least configured for File and Printer Sharing?
Have you checked for newer NIC drivers? Checked DNS/DHCP settings to ensure
that they are correct?

Firewall is On and configured for File and Printer Sharing (I tried to put it
Off).
I updated the NIC driver.
DNS/DHCP appear to be correct because it delivers the addresses correctly
but after 7 minutes.
Any other sugestion?
Thank you again.

After try a lot of things, I'll REMOVE SP2.
My conclusion: SP2 is not totally ready therefore not instable.
