Hi,
I have a Compaq 3045us laptop with a SIS chipset (and SIS
M650 video card). After I installed xp sp2 I am no longer
able to connect to the internet, though I can connect to
the router (I have Verizon ADSL with a Belkin 802.11b
wireless router). I tried the different suggestions
(winsock fix, netsh..., allowing all exceptions in
windows firewall, etc.) obtained from reading this
newsgroup and googling to no avail.
I believe that the SIS video card might have something to
do with this as I have seen some incompatibilty with the
SIS video card driver and xp (it prevented me from
upgrading to xp pro from xp home).
Any suggestions and comments will be greatly appreciated,
Thanks,
Vize
