Hi, Problem, click start and my menu lists are too wide to see all that is
on them. I have three columns of programs and I can't see the last one. How
do I change the width of these columns. Tried alsorts to no avail.
Help,

Organize that crap you call a start menu.
C:\Documents and Settings\yourusername\Start Menu\Programs
and
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Start Menu\Programs
Make some "main" folders like "Applications" and "Communication" and start
moving folders into those. Organize like you would a filing cabinet.
(Easy way to get to that folder(if in classic mode) is to right-click on the
START button and choose properties. Click on the "Customize" button. Then
click on the "Advanced" button. Otherwise use Windows Explorer/My
Computer.)

Thanks, I forget that it's just like any other system(?), get it organized
and all falls into place. I preach this at work and use it there, but at
home I just didn't follow my own advice.
I did, for a time, have it set up in the customized menu set-up as a
scrolling menu same as for the old 98 start menu, but it got out of hand.
Thanks for the sanity check. Colin D.
