My computer crash due to a power surge. I remove the hard
drive and placed it into the new computer. Windows does
not detect the hard drive. When I try to boot off the
windows cd I am getting the following message: Cannot
detect the biosinfo.inf press r on the next screen. It
never gets to the next screen. it dies right there.
Any thoughts.

Just an idea: if you got the Windows-CD with the old computer you may
not be able to use it on another machine. Contact the manufacturer of
the old computer for further help if this is the case.

Does the BIOS detect the drive correctly?
