After Windows XP SP2 I CANNOT burn DVDs

Any suggestions? I can burn read/burn CD's... Can read DVD's but CANNOT
burn
to DVD's. No matter what program or what type of DVD used.

Tells me the drive is empty.

Emprex DVD-RW IDE 1008

Firmware has been updated. Nero DVD program is good w/SP2 bugs fixed
and latest program. Connections are good.

Any suggestions?

Try reinstalling the cd burning software.

When you upgrade your OS to a new version you often have to upgrade some
of your apps as well. This has ALWAYS been the case and is not new news.

Well, thankt for THE CAPS but most viewing these forums are frustrated
already. Let's try not to brow-beat for the sport of it. Also, Windows has
made concerted efforts (albeit not all successful) to provide backwards
compatibility with older apps. Certainly apps far more outdated than Nero 3.0
Ultra.

So in actuallity you are also a little off-base and trumpeting false

I am not counting the subject line.
Except for the word cannot. The rest is proper capitalization
DVD's Cd's

SP2 may or may not need to capitalized.

I agree with crash068 you should not have to upgrade you stuff to work
with xp sp2. If that’s what he meant by his comment.
