Assistance please

I'm using XPpro

Prior to install of SP2: Dlink router and Speedstream DSL
modem shared an Inet connection to two PC's one of them
with an admin and two user accounts

Post install all is well except the two user accounts on
the above mentioned PC - neither user account can use
mail (Outlook) or IE - Symantec reports a proxy error at
user login and yet auto update of virus definitions still
works - I've disabled firewall but the same problem
exists

Anyone have an idea of what may have changed ??

Thanks in advance for any advice !!

I have the same set-up. WinXP (home) with Dlink router
and speedstream DSL. After installing SP2, one PC of the
two doesw not browse or check email. The other one is
fine.

On the bad PC, all other internet related applications
work fine, only IE and outlook express cannot use the
internet... whats up?

thanks!
