Hello

I recently upgraded to XP SP2 and are having some trouble
with outlook express.

I use 3 mail accounts and 2 of them are fine. However on
1 account it keeps rejecting my account name/password.
Although I can login fine through webmail..

I presume it's something to do with the new
firewall/security settings.. how can I get OE to accept
my login?

First thing I'd try is to create a new account and see if the
problem is there too.

I can confirm that the account itself is fine as I can
access the account through webmail.. just not outlook
express. It is 'definately' SP2 related.

Sorry for not being clear enough. I meant create a new mail
account in Outlook Express.

Does the mail server require a different kind of authentication,
unlike that of the other, working mail accounts?

For some more details on Service Pack 2, particularly its new
firewall, you may want to have a look at
