After installing SP2 When I click on Windows Explorer I get a minimum 1
minute delay (waving Flashlight) before it displays the contents of my
computer (drives,etc....) This also happens with outlook express. Any ideas?
Defrag didn't help.

Hi,

Click start/run, type MSCONFIG and click ok. Go to the services tab and
uncheck the line that loads WIA (Windows Image Acquisition). Click apply/ok
and reboot - does this help?

Thanks Rick! Absolutely the cure! I love this newsgroup! Wonder how many
other unnecessary things I have running in there Microsoft or other?

Hi,

It doesn't hurt to run most, but some can cause issues as you've seen. Glad
to help.
