favorites menu

From the start menu/favorites/ to any link works fine
right after boot up. After computer use for a short time
clicking on a link from favorites (start menu) will not
work. Reboot will bring the function back Favorites
from tool bar above always works. How can we correct the
function from the start menu favorites links??
