When Windows XP Professional boots up there is not
Windows SP splash screen. All it get is a blank black
screen until the logging onto windows screen appears.
I would like to know how to get the Windows XP
Professional screen back while boot up is in progress.

Clik Start, rite-clik My Computer, clik Properties option, clik
Advance tab, clik settings button in Startup and Recovery. In the
Default Operating System Window, it show a line from your boot.ini.
I'm guessing there is a "/noguiboot" there, probably left from a
previous session. This stops bootvid.dll from running during startup,
which is responsible for the image you seek. If so, clik on edit,
remove it, save it, restart, and all will be well.
