networking icon and sp2

Ever since I downloaded and installed sp2, my wireless
networking icon in the notification tray says that I am
not connected, in spite of the fact that I am connected
to the Internet. When I play with a variety of different
settings, the icon will say that I have a connection.
However, the fix is only temporary because after I
shutdown the problem returns. Any help would be
appreciated.

re-install the wireless drivers and the application. This will resolve the
issue
