Yesterday evening my system synchronized with time.windows.com and
ended up setting my system time 1 hour ahead incorrectly.

I checked my Time Zone and it is still set correctly to Eastern.

Has anyone else experienced this issue?

I'm thinking about turning the feature off, after all a time server is
good for providing reliable time for your systems, what good is it if
it cannot be trusted?
