As per other posts, 'standby' does not work on my PC
since loading SP2. Using either the desktop (button is
not greyed out), or the sleep button on the keyboard, XP
says it's going into standby, but actually restarts.

Additionally, the PC power button options 'standby'
or 'shut down' no longer work when set in Control
Panel/Performance and Maintenance/Power
Management/Advanced - 'Power Buttons'. Again, the PC
restarts.

Thanks in advance.

Hi,

One or more system driver files are incompatible with SP2. They will still
function, but no longer support the standby mode. Check with the hardware
vendors for updated versions.
