When I try to install SP2 I get the message "unable to
read or write to the database" and the install cancels
itself, can anyone help me with this ?

Hi

I have created a batch file that might help out on this problem.

Go to
http://www.michna.com/kb/WxSP2.htm#Cannot_install_Service_Pack_2

Look for fixdb.bat under "Error 0x800710D9 Unable to read from
or write to the database". Download and run it.

Many thanks it worked a treat. If it wasn't for people
like you who are totally committed to helping us "lesser
mortals" I would have had to pay my local supplier to
sort it out..........many thanks once again :-)
