I recently got a new motherboard put in my computer, but
luckily i saved all my photos and music files, but since
i've got my pc back all my file names have ".jpg"
or ".mp3" on the end,and as they didn't before i assume
there is a way to set my files so that they don't need
the file type on the end 2 read them...if anyone could
help i would be most appreciative!Thankyou.

In the Windows Explorer > Tools > Folder Options > View check "Hide
extensions for known file types". If the extension is still shown,
right-click a JPG file and select "Open with". Select an application
with which JPG files should be opened, tick the "Always use this..."
option and press OK. Do the same for MP3 files.
