Disk Cleanup

When I click on Disk Cleanup of my "C" drive it hangs and
slows down the machine to a crawl. Task
Manager 'processes' shows cleanmgr.exe in the high 90
percentile range for CPU usage. Any help is appreciated.

Hi Rob,

When you run the Disk Cleanup utility, the program may stop responding
(hang) while scanning for compressed files.

CAUSE
This issue occurs when there is an incorrect entry in the registry that is
used by the Disk Cleanup utility to locate compressed files..
